Safety
At AMC safety is a core value not a priority; while priorities may change over time, a core value is something that remains constant. The three tenants of the AMC philosophy are People, Knowledge and Leadership. In order to succeed as a company we must protect our most valuable resource; our people. It is the high quality of people at AMC that makes this knowledge and leadership possible. Our success hinges on their knowledge and leadership to drive everything we do. Success for AMC is defined not just by business measures but by the fact that everyone goes home safe to their families at the end of the day. It is more than just getting the job done, but getting the job done safely that matters, and it is the only true measure of success for AMC.
Implied in the tenant of People is the belief that all accidents are preventable. Using the right knowledge, people and leadership, we work continuously to improve safety in all aspects of our business. Our reputation is built on our safety record.
Knowledge
AMC employees receive intensive safety training. They learn their responsibilities to prevent incidents, are given an opportunity to improve existing safety protocols and always know exactly what their response should be in case of an incident.
People
Every member of the team is responsible and accountable for following all safety procedures. We provide an open forum for safety improvements and we encourage employees to bring ideas forward.
Leadership
Management supports incident prevention by providing ongoing safety training. But more than that, management ensures that every jobsite has all the safety equipment required for that site. Incidents are far less likely when employees have the right tools. Even the design and implementation of projects fundamentally include safe practices. When it comes to safety, we lead by example.
